Tonight the Mets are in Cleveland to open up a three game series against the Indians. They'll throw their number two starter Johan Santana (still sounds funny to me, but doesn't make it less true) to the mound to square off against Jamaican-born right hander Justin Masterson. Lineup is as follows:
1. Jose Reyes SS
2. Angel Pagan CF
3. David Wright 3B
4. Ike Davis 1B
5. Jason Bay LF
6. Chris Carter DH
7. Rod Barajas C
8. Jeff Francoeur RF
9. Alex Cora 2B
The Mets have another opportunity to beat up on one of the weaker teams in the ML. They'll look to extend their three game road streak (four overall) with a win against the Indians tonight. This is the Mets first trip to Cleveland since 2002, when Timo Perez was leading off, Piazza was batting cleanup, and Mo Vaughn was backing him up. Boy am I ever glad I don't have to watch that team anymore.
