Over at ESPNNewYork.com, Adam Rubin does a great job of previewing the upcoming Subway Series in the Bronx, which begins tonight at 7:05 PM. A little quote from Rubin I found particularly interesting:
After being perfect in six games at Baltimore and Cleveland,
the Mets take a seven-game winning streak into the Bronx --
their longest winning streak ever heading into a Subway
Series matchup. The last time the Mets swept consecutive
road series on one trip came in June 2006 at Arizona and Philadelphia. -Adam Rubin, ESPNNewYork.com
I'm starting to notice that a lot of the accomplishments these Mets are achieving are starting to mirror those of the '06 team. I'm really trying not to get ahead of myself here. But I can't help getting tremendously excited about this team. They're just so much fun to watch.
