Not Even The '06 Team Did It

Yes, that's right, I'm beginning to compare this team to the '06 team. Maybe it's a bit premature, but dare I say, this team is even more fun to watch than that '06. Mostly just because I don't have to look at Aaron Heilman's ugly mug anymore. Check out these two factoids:

The last time the #Mets scored 5+ runs in an inning in each of three consecutive games was Aug. 3-4-5, 2004 at Milwaukee. Thanks Elias!

Now, I understand that '04 team wasn't very good, so in the grand scheme, the stat doesn't have all that much meaning when comparing it to this team. However, it's still nice to see this team doing something that not even the '06 team could do.

That record is now even better with last night's win, bringing us to 7-1 during interleague play. That already gives them more interleague wins than the '06 team had, with ten more games yet to play.
