We all know that David Wright is on a torrid hot streak where we've seen him return to his old form. But I didn't quite realize just how great he's been these last few games. Check it out:
David Wright followed up his three-hit/four-RBI performance against the Orioles on Sunday with three hits and three RBI in the Mets 7-6 victory over the Indians Tuesday night. That marks the second time in his career that Wright has had at least three hits and three RBIs in consecutive games (he did that in May of 2009). Only two other Mets have done that in consecutive games once: Carlos Delgado (September of 2008) and Gary Carter (September of 1985). -Elias Sports Bureau, via ESPN.com
Scroll down about half-way through the page and you'll see the bit about David's feat. Very impressive Davey.
On a side note, I continue to be amazed at the work they do over at Elias. It undoubtedly takes countless hours to compile and compute this information. Please don't ever stop.
