In tonight's game versus the Orioles, the Mets were the beneficiaries of some close calls. In the end they came out on top 3-1. Here are some points of the game.
-Jose Reyes lead off the game with a homerun and ended up going 2 for 3.
-Takahashi went seven superb innings giving up just one run on 6 hits.
-Ruben Tejada scored the go ahead run in the sixth when David Wright was called safe on a bang bang play at first to beat out a double play.
-Francoeur also got into the mix with a solo shot in the 8th to add some insurance.
Eventually K-Rod came into the game and closed the door on the Orioles but not without making it interesting by hitting Adam Jones, though he got Wieters to ground into the game ending double play. This marks the first road series the Mets have won all year. Well done boys. Let's keep up the good, fundamental baseball and continue putting up the W's.
