According to B-Mets manager Tim Teufel, he removed Reese from yesterday's game because he had some soreness which apparently has been an issue in the recent past. Teufel doesn't seem to think that Havens will miss any kind of significant time, though. It's tough to believe that the Mets' front office, and fans of the team, aren't somewhat disappointed with this recent development. Havens has had a pattern of minor injuries since being drafted two years ago, and this particular setback couldn't have come at a worse time with Havens hitting the ball so well. Hopefully this issue won't become too cumbersome.
