On the surface, it seems as if there is at least 4 or 5 better CF in the NL. However, a closer look at the numbers suggests that Pagan is right up there with any of them. For instance, his UZR currently stands at 6.9, which is 2nd in the majors among CF (first in NL), and 4th among all major league players. His 2.0 WAR (wins against replacement) is 3rd among major league CF (2nd amongst NL, Byrd has a 2.5) and 30th in the majors so far. I know there are some that will point out that his mainstream stats are less impressive than others. But sometimes you have to look past the surface. Not all people will agree that he's the best all-around CF in the NL, but he is without a doubt the best CF in the NL East (sorry Victorino fans, but it's undeniable). When you combine that with the fact that Beltran has missed two months more than anyone expected, it makes Pagan's efforts thus far greatly appreciated. By the way, in 46 ABs with RISP he's batting .370 with 2 doubles, 3 triples, a HR, 21 RBI and a 1.053 OPS.
