What an awesome night to be a Mets fan. It would have been great to see Pelfrey get the win after pitching so well (more analysis on his incredible start to come tomorrow), but that doesn't make this game any less enjoyable. Reyes got two hits, including the game tying home run, breaking an 0-8 streak. Wright added another two hits and, of course, Ike Davis was the hero with the monster home run to end it in the bottom of the eleventh. That makes 9 straight wins at home for the second time this season and pushes the Mets' record at home to an astounding 23-9 and 31-27 overall. It's very refreshing to see this team get back to playing smart, exciting baseball. Santana goes tomorrow to try and make it ten in a row at home. Let's go Mets!
