With the 122nd pick in round 4 of the amateur draft the Mets selected Cory Vaughn, son of Greg Vaughn former major league LF. His son Cory has the tools to be a balanced player for the Mets. So far it is unknown whether he will stay at CF or move to a corner outfield position in the minors. However, if his range and speed improve he should be able to play any outfield position.
